Have You Heard About the Skoda Kodiaq vRS?
Added: 26 September 2018
Skoda have released some final images of the new Kodiaq vRS in an attempt to tease fans ahead of its full debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. These images show off the sporty SUV’s interior cabin and follow on from the selection of emphasised sketches which gave us our first look at the car’s main exterior features.
Skoda Kodiaq vRS: What We Know About the Interior so Far
Key differences inside the vRS cabin come in the form of all-new sporty front seats which are trimmed with a combination of leather and alcantara – integrated headrests are a feature also. Laced around the cabin you’ll find red contrast stitching features on the seats, armrests, door trims, gear selector gaiter and steering wheel with the roof lining finished in black.
Up front on the dash follows the same sporty theme with carbon trim running through its centre as well as along the door trims. To finish of the sporty feel there are plenty of vRS badges scattered around and the driver is treated to a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Skoda Kodiaq vRS: Exterior Design Features
With the initial sketches showing an exaggerated version of the key exterior design points we can expect the car to come out of the factory with a more toned down look – however that’s not to say that this won’t be the sportiest SUV in Skoda’s history. Standard fit features we know of so far include LED headlights and also a completely digital Virtual Cockpit instrument panel.
Skoda Kodiaq vRS: Engines & Performance
Skoda are offering the new Kodiaq vRS with just one engine option – a 237bhp 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel unit with 500Nm of torque. Power will be transferred to the all-wheel drive system via a DSG automatic gearbox which comes as standard on Skoda’s flagship SUV.
